The Joseph P. Healey Library at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks an innovative, collaborative and versatile professional to join a creative, collegial and dynamic team at an urban public research university.



Reporting to the Dean of University Libraries, the Collection Analysis and Development Librarian will lead the development, assessment, and maintenance of Healey Library's collections in order to strategically support the teaching, research, and learning needs of the UMass Boston community.  To that end, the Collection Analysis and Development Librarian will provide leadership and oversight of Healey Library collections, manage the library's materials budget to ensure comprehensive and relevant collections, communicate with faculty, department heads, deans and other stakeholders to gather and analyze feedback and usage statistics to assist in decision-making, and collaborate with UMass system and consortial colleagues on the development of shared collections and the process of assessing some of the Library's "big deal" agreements in the context of the changing academic publishing landscape.
