CLOCKSS, the decentralized preservation archive that ensures that the
digital assets of the community will survive intact, announced the support
of six additional libraries. CLOCKSS simultaneously announced that seven
additional publishers are working with the archive to preserve their
publications for future generations of researchers.

"The University of Colorado, Boulder, is happy to join other institutions in
the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries, in supporting the CLOCKSS
Archive. CLOCKSS provides the crucial service of ensuring the long-term
preservation of the digital scholarly literature. CLOCKSS is robust and
sustainable, as an organization and as a system. By supporting CLOCKSS,
academic libraries can do their part to enable lasting and durable digital
preservation for the scholarly record," said Robert McDonald, Dean of
University Libraries, UC Boulder.

"CLOCKSS is grateful to LYRASIS for their help in increasing our engagement
with North American library consortia," added Craig Van Dyck, Executive
Director.
