Associate Dean of Library Services:
Western Carolina University invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean of Library Services. The Associate Dean will be a knowledgeable, experienced, and visionary leader supporting the Dean, department heads, faculty, and staff by providing exceptional administrative leadership. Requiring a broad understanding of how libraries contribute to the teaching and learning mission of the university, the Associate Dean will coordinate library-wide strategic planning; assessment; public relations and marketing; external partnerships and outreach; and special initiatives and projects. The Associate Dean serves the library by assisting the Dean in developing and promoting areas such as library assessment, Friends of Hunter Library, coordinating the library's diversity goals, and coordinating all the efforts of promoting library resources and services in a working environment that highly values collegiality, collaboration, and creativity. As appropriate, the Associate Dean will represent the library on campus and community activities when asked by the Dean or in the absence of the Dean.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Reporting to the Dean of Library Services, this is a 12-month, non-tenure-track position.
