Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, seeks applications for a full-time, Head of Electronic Resources and Access Services in the Cochrane- Woods Library reporting to the University Librarian.  This position plans, develops, implements, and coordinates all aspects of digital/electronic resource collections and projects.  In addition, the incumbent will manage all aspects of circulation and supervise staff (Library Assistant for Circulation) as a member of the library's management team.



Review of applications will begin February 19 and continue until the position is filled.



Responsibilities

Manage full life cycle of Electronic Resources/ Library Technology:

*         Facilitate product trials

*         Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and licensing

*         Activate new acquisitions in the knowledge base

*         Update and manage EZ Proxy

*         Gather usage statistics

*         Prepare materials for renewal evaluations

*         Ensure access and trouble shoot issues

*         Curate LibGuides database list

*         Manage Integrated Library System- WorldShare Management Services and Discovery

*         Help with the technical aspects of other systems

*         Collaborate with CSIT

*         Website administration

Liaison:

*         Assist in assigned subject area collection development

*         Act as a resource to assigned departments

*         Teach in the library instruction program

*         Provide research assistance as needed

*         Participate as a full member of the faculty, including scholarship and service

Access Services:

*         Ensure all circulation policies are up to date and enforced

*         Supervise the Library Assistant for Circulation



Qualifications and Abilities:

*         An MLIS, MLS, or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program

*         Two years of experience coordinating digital resources (EZ Proxy preferred)

*         One year of experience supervising staff

*         Strong familiarity with administering an integrated library system (WMS preferred)

*         Demonstrated commitment to patron service

*         Demonstrated experience in teaching/instruction or training

*         Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty and students
