[Eril-l] Transition to IPv6

Hello everyone,

First time poster. I was wondering if any other universities or libraries have made a transition to using IPv6 addresses for their networks. We have started transitioning some departments/buildings to using them exclusively with plans to move completely to v6. I've noticed that some vendors can accommodate IPv6 without issue, but some smaller vendors haven't seem to have been provided IPv6 ranges by institutions or can only accommodate smaller ranges (ranges that only contain less than so many thousand IP addresses and need to be broken into sub ranges).

I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this, and if they have any best practices they would like to share. Hoping we aren't diving into uncharted territory here. Logging into the proxy is our current work around in the short term while we start to tackle these new ranges.
