[Eril-l] Maintaining a vendor server IP list

Hi,

We're considering changing our IP authentication model to one that requires us to maintain a list of vendor server IPs for the main campus firewall. This is a new consideration for us, and as we're debating the pros and cons, I thought see if anyone else is currently maintaining a list of vendor server IPs for authentication who can help us out with feedback.

If you are maintaining a list of vendor IPs: What has your experience been? Do most vendors provide adequate notice of changes? What kind of time does it require for set-up and maintenance? Does it cause additional problems in the troubleshooting process? Any feedback you can offer would be helpful.
