Reminder: ALCTS webinar: Considering Leadership

Date: Wednesday, December 12, 2018

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 AM Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 PM Central, and 2 PM Eastern time.

Description: Let's move beyond supervision and management and talk about
leadership. Anyone can be a leader. Leadership opportunities abound
everyday, in different settings, and in different ways. It neither favors
introverts or extroverts. How will you use your personal strengths to lead
with agility in times of change and disruption?

Culling from a number of presentations and CE courses taught by the
presenter, the webinar will start with the difference between leadership
and management. Following is an examination of the traits of a good leader
and what will be required of future leaders. The session will conclude with
some thinking about seizing leadership opportunities and practicing
leadership skills every day.

Learning outcomes:

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

1. Articulate the difference between leadership and management.

2. Identify their own personal styles, strengths, and leadership
opportunities.

3. Realize leadership is not about who is at the top of the organization
but that there are leadership opportunities in many different places.

4. Begin or advance the process of identifying and building their
leadership journey.

Who should attend?

Whether a longtime leader, seasoned manager, or someone just beginning to
explore leadership possibilities, this webinar will provide content and
appeal to those reflecting on their leadership strengths, growing in their
leadership roles, or determining whether or not to set out on a leadership
journey.
