Hi Allison,
We made the switch from SFX to Full Text Finder about 2 years ago. We also have EDS and while there were some challenges to overcome it has ultimately proved to be better for us since they are so closely integrated. I did a presentation at ER&L last year on the transition. I uploaded the slides in case they can help any:

I would say the biggest difference between the two is that Full Text Finder does not list any A&I sources. That may or may not be a big deal to you. In SFX we had those listed out but since EDS covers that part from the search side it hasn't been too much of a problem, or at least from the patron point of view. Also, our SFX instance was a consortial version so I had to do the export a little differently than the steps provided by Ebsco. I'll be happy to send that to you if you're interested. If you do end up switching give yourself some overlap, if possible, because what I thought should take a couple months ended up being about 6-7 months since some of the packages/journal titles needed to be manually reviewed to ensure the coverage ranges were accurate. Hope this helps!
Best,
Amy

Subject: [Eril-l] Request for Link Resolver Feedback
Hello,
We currently use SFX to manage our electronic resources, but are considering moving to EBSCO's Full Text Finder since we use their Discovery product. Does anyone have experience switching to Full Text Finder from SFX or just feedback on the system in general? We have been comparing functionality, but would appreciate insights anyone has on the benefits and/or risks of moving to Full Text Finder.
Thanks!
