I think so, Heather. It's been reported on rare occasions with Academic Search Complete here. When that happens I send the user a link with only shib authn specified (or specify your custid if you do not have the shib option).
Kind regards,

With e-books, at least, EBSCOhost leaves weird authentication cookies in your browser if you have, for some reason, arrived at EBSCOhost through another institution’s login.
For example, when you click the “Preview” button in GOBI to check if you’re buying the right ebook, now your browser’s EBSCO cookies think you’re associated with GOBI. Later, it won’t let you into your university’s holdings until you clear those cookies. This is the only way I’ve ever acquired the bug, but I’ve seen it happen to a cataloger who never goes into GOBI at all, so there must be other methods of getting that corrupted cookie.
I don’t know if it ever happens with databases, though.

If you have more than one customer id in Ebscohost admin, repeated IPs can cause a conflict. Check to see if your proxy IP is repeated in EH admin on more than one customer id.
As Jean mentions, you may want to be sure that you have a customer id in the URL to avoid this issue. Also, try clearing the browser history. If a user has been using a database on one of the other customer ids with a different set of IPs, it can cause problems logging in later to a different database.
EH tech support is usually pretty good about resolving these issues, if you are still having issues.
Good luck. We have several customer ids and it has caused me some frustration in the past.

Hi Alisha, You might want to check the link for the database. If the URL has changed then that EBSCO login page appears. -- Best, Jean

Hi all-
I’m curious if any of you have encountered issues with your EBSCO databases from off campus?
Specifically, we’ve had a few users report that when they try going to an EBSCO database through a proxied link they get taken directly to the EBSCO login page and completely skip our proxy login page.
Anyone run into this before?
Thanks-
Alisha
