Hi Jennifer –

I signed up last year (I have responsibility for access management systems). The topic was covered  in a different sense on the Liblicense-L discussion forum (archive: http://liblicense.crl.edu/discussion-forum/search/#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=IP%20Registry). It should help publishers verify an institution’s IP range (or ranges). Certainly a good idea if you don’t want the publisher to make a mistake during the setting up of an account. There may be some overlap with RedLink.

I was wondering if any libraries out there had signed up for the IP Registry (either as a beta tester or in production) and could speak to the value of the service. If you did sign up for this, did you have to push the terms and conditions through your purchasing or legal office before you signed up?
