[Eril-l] question re STL-DDA with EBSCO, Proquest, YBP

Several people including from the vendors themselves claim that those
"important changes" type lists from both vendors do include drops due to
change in STL availability.

However, I found when using the libcentral report that Proquest provides
(that several members of this list told me about) that we had over 2,000
books still active and visible in our DDA profile that have STL=no. That
might be an artifact of the merger of EBL and Ebrary, though and perhaps
not ongoing, but I've got Proquest support looking into it further.

I recommend all the Proquest DDA customers with an STL setting on should
export that list and check it for yourselves in case you too have some of
these lingering from that merger.

That same list turns out also to be a great way to catch books whose price
has slipped too high - I found one that was above $500 and our cutoff is
$175.

What got me started on this was a few invoices that came in for
DDA-triggered purchases that had no corresponding STL, which supposedly
shouldn't happen if both vendors are removing from the pools the titles
that lose STL eligibility. Those invoices included books from both
platforms, EBSCO and Proquest, so both apparently have some problems with
doing this reliably (or perhaps in a timely enough fashion).
