Primary Responsibilities include:

* Update the records for electronic journals and books in the ILS (Evergreen).

  * Lead or participate as a member of the team on special projects that are developed as Library goals.
  * Contribute to the Medical Library team by working cooperatively on library and institutional initiatives.
  * Provide reference and other public services to students and faculty via e-mail, phone or in-person.
  * Deliver educational services to TCMC community including making presentations at faculty development and student workshops, classes and orientations.

Peripheral Responsibilities:

* Provide coverage at the Information Services Desk as needed.

* Act in the capacity of library liaison.

* Creation/maintenance of LibGuides in liaison, multi-disciplinary and subject-specialty areas.

* Information Literacy instruction (either classroom or one-on-one) as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  * Demonstrated ability to manage electronic resources and information.

* Experience in using Web editors such as Dreamweaver.

* Knowledge of website / information architecture principles including taxonomy construction development.

* Knowledge of current and emerging technologies in digital and web-based library services.

  * Commitment to a user-centered approach to web-based services, including web interfaces that meet the needs of Library users.

* Knowledge of standard Windows packages; including PowerPoint and Publisher.

* Strong initiative and ability to function independently and as a contributing member of a team.

* Ability to multi-task and prioritize; ability to demonstrate innovation and flexibility.

  * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

* Knowledge of copyright and licensing issues.

Education:

* Master's degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited program is preferred.

* Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution.
