[Eril-l] JOB POSTING: Consortium E-Resources Acquisitions & Licensing Contractor

Collaborative Solutions Maryland (CSM) seeks a very experienced and knowledgeable contractor to perform consortium acquisitions & licensing for the University System of Maryland & Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) Library Consortium. Collaborative Solutions Maryland (CSM) will award an annually renewable contract with the possibility of extending the contract up to five years. This is a not to exceed cost contract which details specific responsibilities but includes the requirement to help define on-going responsibilities based on changes in the licensing market. Performance of the contractor will be evaluated annually by the USMAI Executive Director with input from specified USMAI committees and the directors of the consortium's member libraries. The contractor will be expected to work closely with assigned consortium committees, and with representatives of USMAI's member libraries. Scope of responsibilities includes coordination with assigned USMAI committees on all aspects of the acquisitions, licensing, and evaluation of those electronic information resources which are shared by all member libraries of USMAI. The contract also includes other specific duties related to e-resources licensed on an opt-in basis by subgroups of the USMAI membership. The intent of this contract position is to support USMAI strategic priorities to expand and more effectively administer the shared e-resources collection, as well as other initiatives to increase resource sharing and identify new opportunities for innovation, cost efficiency, and effectiveness in procurement and licensing activities among USMAI member libraries.
