Open Library Community Forum: Building a New Open Source Library Services Platform
Thursday, May 25, 2016 at 11 AM EDT/3 PM GMT

Please come join the first Open Library Community Forum! This open discussion will introduce the partnership between OLE libraries, EBSCO, Index Data, and YOU. Have you heard about the new open source library services platform (LSP) under development? Want to find out more about how you can get involved? Please join us for the first open forum of the collaboration, which is your chance to learn about the project as a whole, and learn more about the methodology underway to develop the resource management component of the LSP.

For the first half of the forum, Mike Winkler, OLE Managing Director, will provide an overview of the project as whole.

For the second half of the forum, Jacob Jaskov, innovation consultant from the Behaviour Bureau, will discuss the major challenges and areas of opportunity to provide better resource management capabilities within a system, based on meetings and interviews conducted over the past few months. Participants will be encouraged to provide feedback on the research work done to date. Kristin Martin, Electronic Resources Management Librarian at the University of Chicago, will facilitate the discussion.

Please join a few minutes early to ensure that we can start promptly. Space is limited to the first 100 participants.
