[Eril-l] Problem viewing Ebsco e-book PDFs when off-campus

I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing issues with Ebsco's e-book PDF viewer for remote users. We're seeing a problem where, when a user is coming in from off-campus, the PDF never appears and we just get a blank white screen where the PDF should be. We don't see any status indicator, and we never get an error message. It happens in different browsers. Downloading e-books works fine, and on-campus viewing works fine. Article viewing also works fine off-campus, so it's something unique about the e-book platform.

We are using hosted EZproxy for authentication with our campus Shibboleth server.

We are talking to both EZproxy and Ebsco support about this, but haven't had any luck yet identifying what is causing the problem.

Has anyone else seen this problem and found a way to fix it?
