The Western Michigan University School of Medicine Library is recruiting
for a *Digital Strategies Librarian *to develop and manage web-based
systems and services, including the library’s website and digital
collections. As a brand-new medical school and, consequently, brand-new
digital medical library, we are part of many innovative projects and
services.  Our operation is small but we have daily access to senior
leadership, faculty, and staff, and a front row view of how a medical
school works. WMed is constantly changing and expanding in order to realize
the institution’s goal of becoming a leader in education, research, patient
care, and scholarship. As the founding librarians of the WMed Library, we
are a team that supports each other’s dreams, ideas, experiments, and
professional successes. We believe in each other, and offer a nurturing

About Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine:

Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is a
collaboration of Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo's two teaching
hospitals, Borgess Health and Bronson Healthcare.  It has been in planning
since 2008 and was grated preliminary accreditation from the Liaison
Committee on Medical Education in 2012.  The school, which welcomed its
inaugural class in August 2014, is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit
corporation supported by private gifts, clinical revenue, research
activity, tuition from students, and endowment income.  The home of the new
medical school includes the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine
Clinics, a modern 60,000 square foot clinical building on the Oakland Drive
Campus, and a 350,000 square foot educational building in downtown
Kalamazoo that was donated by MPI Research.  Located on the new W.E. Upjohn
M.D. Campus, the educational building underwent a $68 million renovation
and expansion project and opened in June 2014.
